There’s always a lot happening in the Columbus restaurant world! Here’s the latest:
- Today is St. Patrick’s Day! Plenty of restaurants will be running food and drink specials. If you’re interested, I’ve rounded up Where to Find an Irish Breakfast in Columbus.
- The Por’Ketta food truck owners shared this week that the truck has closed up after eight years in business, citing continued challenges with inflation, sourcing, and staffing.
- The Bobcat Sports Bar opened this week at 1099 W. First Ave. in Grandview, taking the former space of Cleaver. The bar draws its name from the Grandview Heights mascot.
- 614 Now shared the news that Hai Poke has closed their Short North store and is focusing instead on their stall inside North Market Bridge Park.
- In case you missed it, Cincinnati-based Buzzed Bull Creamery is now open at 50 S. Liberty St. in Powell. The creamery uses liquid nitrogen to craft ice creams and shakes that are both child-friendly and boozy.
- Random Precision Brewing celebrates its fifth anniversary on Saturday, March 18 with new beer releases, live music, food trucks, and more.
- In case you missed it from last week, Baltimore-based Bottoms Up Bagels has begun popping up at The Daily Bar (883 N. Fourth St. in Italian Village) through March 26. The pop-up will run Thursdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., or until they sell out.
- If you’re headed to Nationwide Arena to catch some March Madness games, consult my guide of Where to Eat and Drink Before the Game or Where to Stay, Eat, & Drink Over the Weekend.
- Also, there are still tickets available to see Deb Perelman, author and founder of Smitten Kitchen, next week Wednesday, March 22 at Westerville Central High School. Yours truly will be interviewing here!
