BAGEL SANDWICH RECIPES:

Bagel Sandwich #1:
Ingredients:
Alvarado Street Bakery Sprouted Cinnamon Raisin Bagel
Almond Butter, Peanut Butter or SunButter (Sunflower Seeds)
Apple Slices

Directions: Slice bagel in half, toast, spread almond butter on each side of the bagel, add thinly sliced apples and enjoy!

Bagel Sandwich #2:
Alvarado Street Bakery Sprouted Onion Poppyseed Bagel
2 tablespoons hummus
1/3 cucumber, thinly sliced
1 large carrot, to make carrot ribbons
1 tablespoon hemp hearts (seeds)

Directions: Slice bagel in half & toast. To make carrot ribbons wash & peel outer layer of carrot. Then using a peeler make long carrot ribbons. Wash & thinly slice cucumber. Spread hummus on both sides of the bagel. Layer with carrot ribbons, cucumber slices & a sprinkle of hemp hearts.

Bagel Sandwich #3:
Alvarado Street Bakery Sprouted Whole-Wheat or Sesame Bagel
1 veggie burger
1 tablespoon mustard
1/2 cup of fresh arugula greens
Red pepper sauce (see below)

Red Pepper Sauce:
1 red bell pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions: Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and roast the red bell pepper on a baking sheet for 30 minutes. Once the skin on the bell pepper has blackened, place into a small bowl, cover & set aside for 15 minutes. Next bake the veggie burger at 425 degrees Fahrenheit as well for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, slice bagel in half. Once the bell pepper has set for about 15 minutes, peel the blackened skin away & remove the stem and seeds. Place the red pepper in a blender with olive oil and seasoning and blend until creamy. Then spread the red pepper sauce on one side of the bagel & mustard on the other side. Layer with veggie burger & fresh arugula greens & enjoy!
