Chocolate Mousse Mouse Cakes | Quick & Easy Dessert Recipes!
One of the easiest and most impressive desserts ever! Moist layers of chocolate cake, slathered with light and airy chocolate mousse then drenched with rich ganache. It’s a perfect dessert for any occasion! These mouse shaped cakes go way back to when I use to visit Greece in the summers as a kid. This is the one dessert that will always hold a place in my heart because they’re just so cute and impressive and who would have known.. they’re actually a breeze to make!
Chocolate Cake Mix
4 cups Heavy Cream
500g Semi-sweet Chocolate chips X2
Prepare the cake mix and add it to two 13×9 inch sheet pans. Heat 2 cups of heavy cream until it starts to simmer. Add the hot cream to a bowl with 500 grams of chocolate chips. Do not mix it until 5 minutes have passed. Allow the ganache to fully cool then whip up the remaining 2 cups of heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add the cooled ganache and continue to whip until fully combined. Place the mousse into the fridge to firm and repeat the process with the ganache again and allow it to cool so you can pour it over the cakes.
