Once called the “Drink of Gods”, Pulque is a drink forgotten in time. With only a few places in Mexico still making traditional pulque, this drink is near impossible to find. So today I try my turn at making pulque INSPIRED drink at home! A bit of history and a lot of tasty!
While this pulque is not naturally fermented, I try out a recipe that uses champagne yeast and agave nectar to get us a distant relative of this mysterious drink.

Recipe for ~2 gals (7.6L):
– 1.75 gals (6.6L) Distilled Water
– 44oz (1.3 L) Agave Nectar
– 10g DAP (Diammonium Phosphate)
– 3g Fermaid O (or other innactive yeast nutrient)
