Many people don’t like grilling fish. It’s a lot more difficult than dropping a burger on the grill. Fish often falls apart, sticks to the grill, and can cook too quickly. Cedar plank grilling changes all of that. Cedar planks are available at Williams Sonoma, Cost Co, in many supermarkets, and online. They are untreated, safe for food contact, and make grilling salmon steaks a breeze! Just soak the cedar plank in water for a couple of hours before you grill to keep it from burning. Full recipe is below, but watch this video for all of Elizabeth’s tips and tricks for getting the perfectly grilled salmon steak.

CEDAR PLANKED SALMON

Soak the plank in water for 30 minutes. Put the salmon on the cedar plank. Season with salt and pepper, drizzle the honey, lemon juice and olive oil on top of the salmon. Heat the grill.
