We are two friends who are passionate about parties. Each episode we show you how to make 3 themed drinks, 3 themed party foods and a fun DIY to bring it all together!
In this episode of Party Nerds, we tackle 3 zombie inspired drinks. We show you our Zombie Infection, our Test Tube Zombie Antidote and our delicious Brain Shot!
The Infection:
1 oz. light rum
1 oz. Coconut rum
2 oz. fresh or frozen strawberries
1 small banana
2 oz. unsweetened pineapple juice
2 oz. coconut cream
Preparation:
Blend the 2 rums and the strawberries in a blender to form a strawberry paste. Pour this mixture into your tall serving glass. Blend the banana, the coconut cream, and the pineapple juice in blender with crushed ice until smooth.
Pour this mixture into the glass with the rums very slowly and watch as the strawberry mixture oozes its way to the top along the sides of the glass creating the flowing zombie infection effect. To make this extra infectious, we put black food dye into the banana mix.
The Antidote:
When time’s running out you need a antidote or LiCURE to save the day!
1 ounce of vodka
1 ounce of melon Liqueur
1 ounce of lemon lime Soda
Preparation:
In a shaker with ice, mix 1 ounce of vodka and 1 ounce of melon liqueur.
Shake until chilled.
Add 1 ounce of any lemon-lime soda (that means stuff like sprite)
Strain in a test tube shooter.
We chose a green color for the antidote, and If you’re a video game zombie fan, you’ll know why. Another version of this is to substitute the vodka for tequila and the soda for lime juice.
The Brain Hemorrhage:
1 ounce of Peach Schnapps
1 ounce of cream based liqueur
Few drops of grenadine
Preparation:
Pour 1 ounces of peach schnapps into a glass.
Slowly add ½ an ounce of a cream based liqueur.
If you don’t have a low flow bottle pourer, you can use a straw like us. Dip it in the cream, hold a finger on the end of the straw and transfer over to the shot glass.
A couple drops of grenadine, and the zombies can drink away (Again, use straw method if you don’t have a low flow bottle pourer)
