We’ve found plenty to explore in my hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan, from favorite eats like Real Food Cafe and Yesterdog to coffee shops like Madcap to breweries to Founders. But there’s always something new (or something that’s been around for years) to try. Enter: Lantern Coffee Bar & Lounge.
Lantern is located in a two-level corner space downtown. The coffee bar and a limited amount of seating are tucked snuggly into the street level, while stairs lead down to a larger seating area.
Lantern’s menu covers brewed coffee, pour overs, espresso, tea, hot cocoa, plus a small selection of pastries.
From our quick sampling – a trio of cortados – we can give a quick approval. Expertly brewed and poured.
