These are simple and easy to make. These 4 easy Korean side dishes or Banchan are light and nutritious and are especially great with BBQ for a balance of flavors and texture. Whether you’re eating a simple side dish or two for your Korean grilling, or any other Korean meals, these banchan will complement just about any main dish.
1. Mung Bean Sprout Side Dish
A. Classic
Blanched Mung Beans
½ tsp salt
1/8tsp sugar
1 tsp sesame oil
1/8tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic, minced
1 Tbsp green onion, chopped
B. Spicy Mung Bean Sprout Side Dish
Blanched Mung Beans
1 tsp Fish Sauce
1 tsp Gochugaru
1 tsp Sesame Oil
1/8tsp Black Pepper
1 tsp garlic, minced
1 Tbsp green onion, chopped
C. Spicy Cucumber Side Dish
1 pc cucumber, thinly sliced
1 Tbsp green onion, chopped
½ tsp garlic, minced
1 tsp soy sauce
¼ tsp Gochugaru
1 tsp sesame oil
½ tsp Sesame seeds
¼ tsp sugar
D. Pickled Radish
2 pcs Radish, cubed
4 Tbsp sugar
1/3 Cup white vinegar
2 tsp salt
½ Cup Water
½ tsp garlic, minced
E. Green Onion Salad
Green onions, thinly sliced
½ tsp Gochugaru
2 tsp soy sauce
¼ tsp sugar
1 tsp sesame oil
¼ tsp sesame seeds
¼ tsp white vinegar
