Jacques Pépin steps behind the bar to show us how to make three of his favorite cocktails. He starts off with kir, a sweet drink from Burgundy made with creme de cassis and dry white wine. Next he introduces us to his take on a Manhattan, which flips the classic recipe and uses 3/4 red vermouth to 1/4 whiskey with lime. If you’re getting a cold or just feeling a little chill in your bones, a mug of Grog will fix what ails you. This hot Swedish concoction combines lemon juice, dark rum, sugar, and boiling water. Drink this and take a couple of aspirin before bed and you’ll be on your way to dreamland in no time.
